Recognize your go-to stress management techniques
Effective stress management allows you to free yourself from the grip that stress has on your life, allowing you to be happier, healthier, and more productive. The ultimate goal is to live a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun—as well as the resilience to keep going when things become tough. However, stress management is not a one-size-fits-all solution. That's why it's crucial to try new things and see what works best for you. The following stress management suggestions can assist you in doing so.
Online – Self-study
Spend time looking at the illustration with the stress management techniques and think:
- If you tried any of the techniques before and how was your experience.
- Which of the techniques are you willing to try?
- How soon can you put in your daily schedule or try these technique?
- Do you need someone to motivate you and keep you motivated? Identify that person.
For Face-to-face sessions
Work in pairs. Each person should spend 2 minutes to take a look on the techniques illustrated in the provided images and think:
- If they have tried any of the techniques. If so, did it work for them?
- If they never tried any techniques, they should think which of those they would be willing to try.
Then in pairs they should discuss about their experience in trying any of the illustrated techniques and which activities are willing to try. Listen your partner carefully and ask questions:
- Why this technique would suit you better?
- How soon can you plan it in your daily schedule? Or, How soon do you think you will be able to try it?
